The UAE's first gambling seller permit was granted to an aristocrat.

 The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) granted Aristocrat the first vendor licensing in the United Arab Emirates today, 28 October.

 The supplier will be able to supply licensed operators with its technology, online casino content, and land-based gaming equipment.  A press statement states that it will function under the Gaming Related Vendor licence issued by the GCGRA.

 Wynn Resorts received the first commercial land-based casino gaming licence in the United Arab Emirates on October 5.  In Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), United Arab Emirates, Wynn is building the Al Marjan Island Resort. 

 Wynn had stated that the project would open in 2027.  According to the operator, the gaming market in the UAE is worth between $3 billion and $5 billion.  (£2.3–£3.9 billion/€2.8–€4.6 billion)  It estimates that its RAK property will generate between $1 and $1.67 billion in gross gaming revenue.  $1.33 billion is the base projection. 

 The company is "honoured to be the first large, international technology provider to be awarded a gaming-related vendor licence to serve the UAE market," according to Hector Fernandez, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming. 

 Our goal at Aristocrat is to provide the greatest seat in the house at all times and places where the globe plays.  Fernandez stated, "We look forward to doing so by offering players in the UAE premium content while also promoting responsible gameplay."  

 In order to supervise gambling regulation throughout the Emirates, the GCGRA was established in September 2023.  The Game LLC was granted the exclusive lottery licence in the United Arab Emirates in July to run the country's lottery.  

 Several well-known figures in the gambling industry make up the board and management staff of the regulator.  These include Mark Lipparelli, the former chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, and Jim Murren, the former chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts.  

 MGM is expecting a casino licence. 
 On September 20, MGM Resorts submitted an application for a casino licence in the United Arab Emirates.  CEO Bill Hornbuckle stated at the time that he anticipated learning more later in the year about the federal oversight and mandate of the UAE regulator.  

 The operator is working on a resort in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  This is accomplished through a collaboration with Hospitality and Leisure that includes 1,500 hotel rooms and the MGM, Bellagio, and Aria brands.  The agreement was made in 2017.  

 At the time, Hornbuckle stated, "Dubai has not yet expressed an opinion on [gaming]."  "I think we'll hear more from Abu Dhabi later this year regarding the federal oversight and mandate, and we'll proceed from there."
