As a new regulator takes over, German slot licenses are granted to Bet-at-home and SkillOnNet.

 As Germany's federal authority assumes complete control over gambling in the nation, SkillOnNet and Bet-at-home have emerged as the most recent operators to receive licenses for online slots.

 With the license granted to it, SkillOnNet is able to offer online slot games in Germany under all of its brands.

 In the meantime, Bet-at-home received an extension of its sports betting licence in addition to a licensing for online slot games.

 According to SkillOnNet, the company will concentrate on utilising DrueckGluek.de, its German-facing brand, which has been well-established in the nation since 2015 after obtaining a permission to operate in Schleswig-Holstein under the previous regulatory framework.

 "With the official German license, SkillOnNet players will be a part of a fully regulated experience, feeling more confident, safe, and secure, many for the first time," stated Michael Golembo, director of sales and marketing for the company.

 Additionally, it affirms that responsible gaming is the cornerstone of everything we do and shows that we are willing to collaborate with authorities to satisfy the high criteria of the German licensing regime.

 The licensing, according to Bet-at-home, a division of the French Betclic Everest SAS Group, is a crucial milestone in the company's future plans.

 "Bet-at-home will now create complete legal and planning security for the group, their investors, and business partners in Germany with the obtaining of permissions for all product categories offered," stated Marco Falchetto, chairman of Bet-at-home.

 The two are now permitted to offer online slots, joining other recent German licenses like Tipico, Rootz, Solar Operations, and Crazy Buzzer.

 Following some significant modifications to gambling regulations in Germany, licenses were recently approved.

 The State Treaty on Gambling (GlüNeuRStv), which was introduced in July 2021, allowed operators to apply for online slot licenses across the nation.  Prior to this, only wagers on sports were permitted outside of Schleswig-Holstein.

 The pact was accompanied by a statute that set a €1 per spin cap for online slots and a 5.3% tax on poker and online slot bets.

 The charge has generated a lot of controversy, particularly among the Deutsche Sportwettenverband (DSWV), an operator association.

 The nation also set intentions to modify the structure of responsibility for gaming regulation as part of the same treaty.  In the past, states in Germany had the authority to provide gambling licenses.

 Established as a federal regulator, the Glücksspielbehörde (GGL) assumed nationwide enforcement of unlawful gambling laws in July 2022.  Since January 1st, it has also taken on the duty of licensing.
